This website provides general information about beginning in band. This is not specific to BHHS or the Tumwater School District, but has great resources including practice tools, advocacy materials, and how to select an instrument!

This site is fantastic for learning the fundamentals of music theory. There are also trainers so you can work on everything from note recognition to listening and identifying intervals and scales.

The National Association for Music Education has many interesting research articles about the benefits of music in a child's learning environment.

Teoria is a really helpful music theory website. It has tutorials, exercises, and articles. Check out the exercises to get some extra theory or ear-training practice!
